WEBSITES, WEB APPLICATIONS, & INTERACTIVE MEDIA
With over a decade of experience in the creative field, my work is a diverse blend of website design and web application development combined with experience in user interface design and multimedia development.

Another collaboration with one of the very talented designers in my small network. This iteration of Thairapy's website is everything it needed to be. They just wanted their website to be informative, to reflect the style of the salon, and to be scalable to accommodate their current and future needs. The satisfying thing about building a website from scratch is that there are no limitations — if the client wants it, they get it…and that's what they got.

Website Re-Design | Wordpress 3.0.x | UI Enhancements
RIMA Projects [planning + design + development] wanted to commission me to make periodic updates to their existing, Flash-based website to showcase new projects. My affilliate, Dondavi, suggested we convert their website to WordPress and take advantage of newer technologies to deliver an elegant, SEO-friendly product. Allowing clients to own their content allows me to focus on what I do best — keeping current with the technology that powers their website.

Are You A Robot?, an Austin-based company, makes some of the coolest little rag dolls from eco-responsible materials. As soon as I saw their products and the new layout for their website, I was hooked. Whisk Design Studio provided me with a design that was playful, current, and fun to work with. Along with the website development, I built some low key Flash animations, database-driven solutions for the gallery and the store, and a back-end administrative tool for the site owner to add/modify/delete robots at any time.

A Small Rural Hotel in Cartajima, Spain
Website Redesign | Blog | Photography | Newsletter
For years, Hotel Los CastaƱos had a website that was not consistent with their product or quality of service. The hotel is beautiful from the outside, well-decorated on the inside, and managed by two of the kindest people you could hope to meet. The rooms and common areas have a Spanish/Moroccan motif that needed to come through - but not dominate - the website. So, while we were at it, we built a blog, took a bunch of photos, and provided them with a CMS to update their content.

OS&B had a well-designed website for 5 years but it was very light on content and resources for their audience. I was given a completely new design to work with - one that I feel is perfect for their industry. The final product consists of a CMS, Blog, database-driven products catalog, suggested search feature, and a 'Create Your Account' feature for regional representatives. There are some great technical achievements in this website using PHP, AJAX, and jQuery...to name a few.

Safety Consulting
Website Redesign | PHP/WordPress | SEO | AJAX
BST had a website that was a little out-of-date and didn't effectively project the breadth of their safety consulting expertise, history, and services. The unique nature of their industry called for a lot of content - content that needed trimming down for web consumption but not just chopped up. Additionally, they needed the website and web elements to be modular in order to repurpose the main English website and use it for their global audience. This website features various web technologies including e-commerce, AJAX, jQuery, and more.

Interactive Donor Coach Training Modules
Flash Design | Interactive Programming | Illustration
The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in Houston, Texas performs ongoing training and training assessments. GCRBC is constantly looking for new ways to engage their staff during training. In collaboration with the Education & Training department, we developed fun, interactive, scenario-based training modules to help their Donor Coach drivers get through their training easier and more effectively. The interface is themed, the graphics are simple and fun, and the content is serious without being stale.

These are a handful of collaborative, in-part contributions I have made to Ad agencies, marketing firms, and individuals. Sometimes a client needs me to build a few OOP'd modules to plug into an existing framework. Sometimes very talented designers need me to put their designs to the web. And sometimes existing websites just need a little lift or SEO consulting. It's a mixed bag.
